On Saturday, October 3, 2009, the Travis County Sheriff's Office will host its 7th Annual Community Extravaganza at the Wells Branch Municipal Utility District located at 3000 Shoreline Drive. The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event is free to the public and all are welcome to attend. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the Travis County Sheriff's Office and have positive interaction with the men and women who serve their community. Members of the Travis County SWAT, K-9, Motorcycle, and Lake Patrol units will attend, giving presentations and demonstrations. Star Flight and the Fire Department will be there showcasing their services and equipment. Vendors throughout the community will be on hand to share informative materials and prizes. Attendees will have access to crime prevention information and ways they can volunteer in their community. Local restaurants will provide FREE food while available. Moonwalks, face painting, and pony rides are just some of the great entertainment for the kids throughout the day.
