Join us for a lively lecture by Charles Ramirez Berg, author of Latino Images in Film: Stereotypes, Subversion, and Resistance, and a University Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Department of Radio-TV-Film at the University of Texas at Austin. An expert on both Mexican cinema and images of Latinos in American cinema, Dr. Berg's lecture will include associated film clips that illustrate a variety of aspects of Latino experience in Texas through the medium of film. Reality Theater

The fourth annual David O. Nilsson Lecture in Contemporary Drama, presented by the Libraries and the Fine Arts Library, takes on meta-theatre as noted stage actors tackle scenes from Tom Stoppard's playful play about plays, "The Real Thing." Noted stars of British stage Eunice Roberts and Matthew Radford join Austin's David Stahl, with commentary by Dr. James Loehlin and Dr. Kurt Heinzelman. Alternating performance and discussion, the event features a unique and interactive evening of drama.
